Former Chief Judge of the Maine Administrative Court and Director of the Family Court Project, now offers services designed to assist couples in divorce resolution.

Available to clients during all phases of the divorce process, Judge Cleaves’s services are intended to reduce parties’ conflict and expense and better provide for the interests of minor children.

These services draw upon Judge Cleaves’s fifteen years of evaluating and adjudicating divorce issues.

Dana A. Cleaves’s management of the divorce process strives to maintain communication between divorcing parties and to resolve the relevant issues in a less adverse manner than the traditional court proceeding.

Towards this end, the consultant will help the parties to jointly:

  • Identify issues for evaluation and resolution;

  • Gather information needed to resolve all issues;

  • Utilize necessary mental health, legal, educational, and other resources;

  • Address disputes which may arise and present obstacles to find divorce resolution;

  • Reach final agreement on all issues.
